Recruitment for Publications
May 20–June 18, 2010
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes for Health is looking for volunteers for upcoming publications that will focus on anemia, chronic lung diseases, sarcoidosis, and sleep disorders.
Medically Diagnosed Conditions
Specifically, we are looking for volunteers in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, who have been medically diagnosed with any of the following conditions, and are using healthy lifestyle choices and medication, if appropriate, to control and manage their condition.
Hemolytic Anemia
Pernicious Anemia
Restless Legs Syndrome
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Sarcoidosis
Volunteer Participation
Volunteers will be asked to do the following:
Briefly speak by phone with a staff person (15 minutes).
If selected, participate in a phone interview about your experience with anemia and the lifestyle changes you have made (1 hour).
If selected, participate in a photo shoot in the DC metro area (approx. 4 hours)
