Victoria Baumann was a 9-year-old little girl from Sayville. She passed away on August 30th 2010 after a long illness. Victoria suffered from multiple autoimmune diseases. She acquired 12 different autoimmune syndromes that attacked her organs: Brain, lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, colon and muscular system. All diagnosed at various ages. Up until the last year and a half, her body was unable fight the unknown storm that was raging that finally attacked her bone marrow. Victoria was a Medical Mystery that we hope did not suffer in vain. It is to that end that we have set up a fund raising organization called “Victoria’s Gift”. All proceeds that this organization raises will be donated to the American Autoimmune Related Disease Association, Inc. They provide funding for the research and education that benefit all forms of autoimmune illnesses. You can find out more information regarding this organization online: www.aarda.org. Victoria’s Gift, is a recognized fundraiser for AARDA.
