Autoimmunity Day
Autoimmunity Day Since 1999, the Autoimmune Disease Research Center at Johns Hopkins University has partnered with the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA) to host an "Autoimmunity Day" conference. The goal of this full day conference is to facilitate cross-fertilization of research aims and findings among autoimmune disease researchers within Johns Hopkins University. In addition to the research presentations from researchers throughout the university the day also typically includes a keynote presenter who can be a noted researcher from any autoimmunity research institution across the country. Ultimately, we would like for the program to expand to universities across the country-- all hosting Autoimmunity Days on the same day every year. This year the date will be June 10, 2011. The program should be held in an auditorium on the grounds of the hosting institution and typically would include a luncheon. AARDA's role as partner and co-sponsor ensures that we will assist with obtaining a keynote presenter if needed, as well as assisting with the cost of the luncheon. Additionally, in the past we have webcast this program nationwide in partnership with the university.
